Night shots in Cape Girardeau

Here are a few night shots of the downtown area of Cape Girardeau. The “historic” downtown area sits on the Mississippi river and it is very small; about three blocks long and three blocks wide. When I was a little kid, we would go downtown to look at the river and eat ice cream and sometimes mom would do some shopping there. Now, most of the commerce is bars, restaurants and antique shops. But it is a cute area compared to the rest of the town, which is all but full of chain restaurants and big box stores. (The shots are a little unsteady, I didn’t have a tripod.)
