For the next two weeks we are house sitting in Marchiennes, France. Marchiennes is a village in the countryside about forty minutes from Lille and in the opposite direction from Nieurlet, where we have spent a few weekends. We have friends who are currently on vacation and have graciously lent us their home, which is nice since we are otherwise still squatting at my in-law’s. Marchiennes is close to a big forest and plenty of bike paths, so we have been taking advantage of being out in nature.
